Full Collapse

Yes, yes, we are still here. It's been a busy month. School is in full swing and both the kids have been sick for a couple weeks now, so we've had our hands full. Other than life's usual happenings, not much has happened, except for an amazing concert that is.

Last Saturday Hallie and I were lucky enough to have my parents watch the kiddos so we could have a nostalgia trip and go see one of our collectively favorite bands: Thursday.

Thursday have been a staple for me for the last eight years. Only a few months after my mission, my friend Brad introduced them to me and well, the rest is history. In the years since, I have seen them at least 5-7 times and had the opportunity to interview their drummer for SLUG Magazine. Needless to say, I'm a fan. If I did the whole tattoo thing, I'd be sporting a Thursday dove for sure.

For Hallie, she started listening to them out of curiosity when we began dating. She had seen my Thursday zip hoodie and went out, found an album of theirs (which happened to be Full Collapse) and began to dive in. Unknowing of this, I soon made her a sappy mix tape (come on, you know you've done that too!) which included a song of Thursday, partly because the song was good and partly because I hoped to indoctrinate her in the ways of exceptional music. Turned out to be a win-win situation.

Fast-forward 6+ years and Thursday is on tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release of Full Collapse and we are there to witness the album performed in its entirety, from start to finish. How was it you ask? Well, let's just say that I sang, shouted and screamed like a fool and I didn't even care.

I didn't take photos this time around, but here are some photos from their last tour stop in SLC to give you a taste.
