Run Fat Boy Run...

...is all I can think as I prepare to run the Top of Utah Half Marathon this Saturday. My training has been pretty decent. My mental stability is pretty decent. But my stomach doesn't do so swell with long runs. Let's just say I've come home from a few runs without sleeves on my shirt. Sorry if that was a tad too much, but anyone who runs long distances can probably relate.

I've got to give credit where credit's due though. I secretly trained for this for quite a while as I watched Hallie officially training for it. She was an inspiration. Her runs got longer and longer and helped me to push mine to keep up with her. She thinks I just want to "one-up," her, but that's not it at all. I saw her doing it and thought, "Hey, maybe I can do this too! Heck, I'm a jobless bum, so I may as well do something with myself." Thanks for the inspiration Hallie.

Wish us luck! And wish me extra luck that I don't have any "sleeveless," incidents.

Good luck man, I'm always impressed with distance runners. I'm more of a greyhound type, I need to be chasing an inanimate object in order to run. Sleeveless shirts are all the rage now anyways if it comes right down to it.

That is so awesome that you guys are running TOU! You will do great! You will have to give us all a post-run report.

I have a friend who runs a lot of races and her best advice is to NOT carb load the day before because it causes you to just have to poo a lot during the race. She eats very little the day before but drinks lots and lots of water to get herself hydrated for the race. Try this and you won't be stopping at the outhouse and you can get a great time. Have fun and good luck. Beat him Hallie!!!
