Some Good, Some Bad.

Wow. Where to start?

So much has happened in the last month and I don't want to bore or depress you all with the Wilkins family woes (NEVER say, "Things can't get much worse," because they always can.), so I won't. Let it suffice that updating the blog has been on the back burner as a result.

One of my 80s idols, Corey Haim, passed. That only added to a not-so-great month. Corey, you'll live on forever in some of my favorite movies though: Dream a Little Dream, The Lost Boys, etc.

RIP
Hallie and I went to St. George for a weekend and left Cambria with my parents. It was the first time we have gone out of town without her. We were pretty nervous on how she would take it, but according to my parents she was a complete angel and us leaving didn't even phase her. I think I took it the hardest actually. Our trip to St. George was planned around the beginning of my spring break and it was much needed. This winter has felt like a prison and we just needed some warm weather, but here's what we got instead:And of course, when we left to come home on Sunday it was beautiful and the weather for the next few days after that was nothing but 70s and sunshine. Figures.
It was kind of crazy while we were there though, it was like spring breaks of old, in the sense that there seemed to be a lot of people in town at the same time. Hallie had friends from work and we had other friends there too.
Here's our pre-hail hiking photo with Hallie's friend Chelsea and her boyfriend Jared:
We also met up with Brady and Amanda and their crew a couple times. It was good to see them. Here's me and Brady being awesome. I guess it just comes natural. Some things don't change. Man, do I really look this old and crappy though is my question? Screw getting old.

Also, just before our weekend in St. George, I had the opportunity to design a save the date card for one of Hallie's friends:

I was also VERY sad to hear about Corey Haim. I LOVED the movie "License to Drive" - I must have watched it 100 times. I went to see if I could buy it on Amazon and the minimum price is $50!! Wow.

Love the "Save the Date" card - very cool!

Sorry things have been rough. At least you got snowed on somewhere different, right?

Thanks for not mentioning my career low bowling score...
