We were lucky enough to get away for the weekend and what a fun time we had in Cache Valley.(one of my favorite places) One thing i can't believe that i haven't shared with Jeremy yet is the fireworks in Mendon, they do a little celebration on the weekend before the 24th, they shoot off fireworks from the baseball field in the town square and you can bring a blanket and chairs and sit just outside the fence. It's no "Stadium of Fire" but if you love the possibility of being hit with pieces of fireworks then you'll love how in your face it is! Another bonus is the burger stand with the local ward cooking up burgers and dogs,"Hey, Bishop get me another brawt!"I also love going cause there is always the chance that i might get to see a few old faces, which is fun for me but just okay for Jeremy! We also got to use the gift certificate that my mom for the University Inn. It was fun but i think it made Jeremy feel a little sad being back on campus! And the WORST part of our weekend...leaving! we love it up there!

I'm going to CV tomorrow! Too bad I missed good old Pioneer Day. Ryan was really bummed when he found out Virginians didn't celebrate that holiday like they do in the Beehive State. :)
What is it about Logan and Cache Valley that gets in our blood? Dave and I too feel that way. I haven't been there for 1 1/2 years, but I'm going next week and can't wait. We still need to get together with you guys...
I know right? I always thought I'd miss Cache Valley a bit, but had no idea it would be as much as I do! Hallie and I are constantly scheming ways that we can move back up there and still make a living of some sort.
And yes!-we do need to get together. Let us know when and where...
We feel the same way. We talk about ending up there because we love and miss it so much. Jeremy, I thought the same thing. I didn't think I would miss it...EVER, but once I left, I ached to be back there.
Hallie I'm so glad I found your blog! I was snooping around Chelsea's friends blogs and there you were! I miss cache valley too! It's a great place- how is SLC? Still doing massage?
Megan-
My favorite thing yesterday at work was this guy who is a professional complainer (not really but i swear he is) was telling me how wussy the parade in SLC is and why this holiday is lame! luckly i had heard a lame fact about how the days of '47 Parade is one of the longest running parades in the US and was able to rattle that off, he still though that pioneer day was stupid. I think he mostly thinks everything is stupid. so whatever
What is it about small towns and fireworks? I was just telling Brent how fun the 4th of July fireworks are in Vernal because you go to the baseball fields and everyone has their own spot that they go to every year.
We love Logan as well and Brent is determined to go back one day. Hopefully we will see all of you there! We can live by each other and let our kids be friends.
Those fireworks sound awesome. I heart Cache Valley too, and I'm not even from there!
Glad you guys had fun.
How funny! I guess you feel different once you leave this place.. Hopefully some day Kev and I will feel the same way!! But for now we have the can't wait to get out fever!
Jill-
I think you may have the "I can't wait to get out of the college rut fever."
If you don't miss Logan when you leave, you'd be the first people I know that feel that way!
I'm so glad to know I am not the only one who loves and misses Cache Valley!!! I seriously could cry every time I go to visit my sister or something and I've only been gone for 3 months! HOW SAD:(
Logan reunion. Logan reunion. Logan reunion.
I think it would be so fun to go back up to logan for a weekend or saturday or something and play some frisbee on the quad, and eat at all our favorite local joints and get a shake at Chuck's and then go play some indoor soccer. And then go to a USU b-ball game. You get the picture.
