Why I asked this Question

In a older post I posed the question of who would win in a fight between a Zombie and a Skeleton. I had run into a slight Christmas gift problem and needed some input.
I found this game called "Zombies" and it looked pretty sweet but then I stumbled on "Mid Evil". Which game would Jeremy like better? "Zombies" sounds super sweet, and has tons of expansion sets and the selling point was glow in the dark hot babes and/or zombies! But "Mid Evil" has skeletons (huge selling point since Jeremy has loved skeletons since a young age) and the Necronomicon. Now that's what got me the Necronomicon which I instantly remembered from the "Evil Dead" and "Army of Darkness" movies, I had to check this one out, did the game have any connection to these movies which Jeremy loved?
Upon further research I did in fact find that "Mid Evil" was loosely based on the movies and that is where the questioning began.

I started a poll at work, 5 to 2 in favor of Zombies, called Jeremy's mom to see how she weighed in, "skeletons for sure" was her answer, and then emailed Jeremy to see what he would say, his response "you should post this on the blog" so what one did he end up with....

Dave has some wierd liking for zombies and zombie movies. Maybe next time we are in SLC we should play this game.

The cover alone is enough reason to give it a try. We've got to play this.

I have been thinking about said question for a couple days since reading this. As much as I like to think it would be ab even battle, I always come back to Zombies. Technically, and I may get beat down for this, but isn't a skeleton that is walking around and what not considered a zombie, or the undead? Maybe I am just a little off here. Please correct me before I look like a dumb A.

Would a better question be between a Zombie and a Mummy? seems like a good fight.

Neil-
Yes, in a sense I would consider a skeleton that is walking around, etc. the "undead." However, in my mind I wouldn't use the term zombie though. To me, a zombie is indeed undead, like the skeleton, but undead with flesh and possibly some or all organs still intact whether functioning or not. You know, rotting flesh and the whole bit. A good reference is George Romero's Dawn of the Dead. So is a skeleton a zombie? I would say no. Is a skeleton part of the undead family? You betcha.

A fight between a zombie and a mummy-now there's a real battle. Who do you think would win and why?

Jeremy,
I don't really know... I mean, how can one undead beat another said undead? In all the movies I've seen, mummies and zombies both walk around in an arms straight out, possibly dragging one leg kind of way. With that being said, I also think that zombies have the ability to harness amazing bursts of speed and would thus be able to 'win' the battle of the two.
OK, enough of me being a nerd on a Sunday, I gotta go get some sleep.
