This One's For My Homies

It's been a while since I've shaved (December 16 to be exact-the day after the mustache contest concluded) and I love it. I tend to think that I would've fit in well when extremely long beards were the norm. I know I'd never sneak it past Hallie, but I'd love to grow an ultra long beard just to do it. Not ZZ Top or anything, but close.

Gotta give respect to a good beard cause they're not easy to grow. I always let a person know their beard is impressive when it is. Us beardos gotta stick together. When I lived in Logan, after Hallie and I got married, there was a guy in our ward there that always had a beard. We were the only two our age that really had facial hair and so we would always complement each others' beards and have "Beard talk." Down here in Salt Lake, I'm the only guy in our ward with a beard. I'm a lone fighter, fighting the cause of, well, I don't know...something.

Gotta respect the beard. I think I could grow a pretty good one, but Natalie would have to leave town for a month or so for that to happen.

Jesse, Jesse, Jesse...you've got to put your foot down on important issues such as this.

Just say: "Natalie, you can leave for a month while I grow a beard, or you can stay-it's your choice." I think that would go over well, don't you?

I've never even seen Parker with out a beard. I've never minded it. For you that have wives that mind, tell them after the second week, you won't notice a difference. I love the things and compliment you on yours Jeremy.

(By the way, Parker loves your pj's and really wants his own. Thanks a lot.)

i just respect your committment. right in the face of naysayers and haters, you keep the beard, you grow the beard, you rock the beard.

Mandy, you're words are always inspirational, but these hit deeper and are more potent than the rest.
