This year's J&J Presents Halloween Party was-in my humble opinion-the best yet. That's not to say that pre-J&J Halloween parties in Logan and elsewhere, as well as past J&J Halloween parties haven't been epic-because they have. This year it seemed as if there were an added measure of creativity and care in the costumes people had. Maybe it was Halloween magic. This was the first year in a long time that Halloween fell on a Friday night. Whatever it was, it was awesome and I think I can speak for all when I say there were some good times had.
The Silky Bros cover band ripped it up. In all other years past, we've had a full Misfits set, but this year, we let things take a new route. The energy that came from the band, as well as the crowd, was unreal. I know that Brad and I mentioned to each other that we haven't had so much fun watching a band in quite some time. The set list included:
*Fight for Your Right (to party)
*Close to Me
*Ganaster's Paradise
*Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
*Under Pressure/Ice Ice Baby
*Smells Like Teen Spirit
*Mother (encore)-personally, I've been waiting 5 long years to hear this song, and it must've been the magic of Halloween, once again, because my Halloween dream finally came true
*We Are 138 (encore)
Below is a slide show and a few video clips to show the action, though I didn't get pics of all the amazing costumes, Jaws aka Brad, got more shots of different people and his own shots of some of the costumes I got too. You can check those here.
Well, for whatever reason, I couldn't get the second clip to post, but to be honest, this post has taken a long time to put together and I'm done with it-sorry.
**Curt and Ali-Wish you could've made it too.
