Anyone?

I know it's cliche to make a new year's resolution to lose weight, but alas, I find myself doing just that. Since moving from Logan I have officially gained a substantial amount of weight and it just plain sucks. I am currently the heaviest I have ever been in my life and it's quite depressing.

My co-worker and I have talked about having some sort of contest-ala The Biggest Loser-for added inspiration in losing weight. Anyone else out there that would like to take part? I would probably create a private blog for those participating and to keep up with weekly info for the contest. We'd each be responsible to weigh in before starting, report that weight and then weigh in once a week on the same day and same scale and then report that weight. To make it interesting we could throw in a few dollars each and all the money goes to the winner. You are welcome to comment on this post and let me know your thoughts or e-mail me at: punkrock_138@hotmail.com

Don't be shy! The more, the better!

**The last day to sign up will be January 9 (this Friday) at 11:59 on the pm and the challenge will begin on Monday, January 12**

I'm totally down with this. When I left Logan I was at 185, I just weighed my self tonight and I came in at 225! Bring it on!

I'm in. I'm trying to lose a bunch myself. My starting weight for 2009 was 194. How are we doing this? Is it straight pounds lost or is it percentages like 'The Biggest Loser'? Also, I'm in.
Love, David Gilliatt

Being pregnant, I can't participate, but you can sign up on The Biggest Loser:

http://www.nbcuniversalstore.com/nbcuniversalstore/the-biggest-loser-club.html

And for every pound you lose, one pound of groceries will be donated to your local food bank! I thought that was pretty cool- best of luck to all of you!!!!!

Roger-David-Christina-and all else:

Awesome! I'm getting excited!

I know how you feel Roger. When I left Logan I was 165, now I'm closer to 195...

Yes Dave, we would do it in percentages like The Biggest Loser.

Thanks for that info Christina! I'll have to look into that!

I'll get working on the blog for this and give more people time to join as well and then at some point we'll all have to talk and set up rules and such and decide on certain things...but we'll work that out after we know all who will be participating.

Sound good?

I'm in! This is great because Rachel got me a Gold's Gym membership for Christmas (I think she was hinting at something...) Anyway, I weighed in yesterday at 194. My goal weight is 175ish so I have some work to do. Great idea Jeremey, I think accountability is the key!

I might be in. I don't need to lose a lot of weight but I could shed a few pounds and this would be good motivation to get some daily exercise.

My starting weight is 429. I'll do what I can. I'm thinking I can lose about 250 pounds. I"m in.

Can my goal weight be more than my current weight?

Jesse-I would only want you to participate if you were a vile enemy and I wanted to witness your demise. There's not an ounce of excess fat on your body.

Good luck on your gaining, I wish that could be my goal!
